Plant Care

Watering:
Ficus lyrata 'Bambino' prefers to be kept evenly moist, but it's essential to avoid overwatering. Water the plant when the top inch of the soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure proper drainage by using a well-draining potting mix and a container with drainage holes. During the growing season (spring and summer), water more frequently, and reduce watering during the dormant period (fall and winter). We recommend measuring the moisture of the soil with a moisture meter.

Light:
Place your Ficus 'Bambino' in bright, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. If the plant receives too little light, it might become leggy and have sparse growth. Rotate the plant occasionally to ensure even growth on all sides.

Fertilizing:
During the active growing season (spring and summer), provide your Ficus 'Bambino' with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Dilute the fertilizer to half the recommended strength to prevent over-fertilization. Reduce or halt fertilization during the fall and winter when the plant's growth slows down.

Repotting:
Repot your Ficus lyrata 'Bambino' every 1-2 years, typically in the spring or early summer, when it becomes root-bound or outgrows its current container. Choose a slightly larger pot with good drainage and use a well-draining potting mix. Gently remove the plant from its old container, untangle any circling roots, and place it in the new pot. Fill the gaps with fresh soil, water thoroughly, and allow the plant to adjust to its new home
