Height: about 20 cm

Season of bloom: Early spring.

Growing Conditions: Full sun to light shade. Ordinary lean soil.

Wildlife benefits: Host plant to caterpillars of American Painted Lady butterflies.

From Ottawa Valley or eastern Ontario sources: Yes

Remarks: The larger of the two common pussytoes in our area. A good evergreen ground cover.

Similar species: Field Pussytoes. Other American Painted Lady hosts: Pearly Everlasting, Sweet Everlasting.
