Ingredients
- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Salt
- Ghee
- Water
- Haldi powder – 1/4 Tsp
- Oil – 1 Tsp
Method
Step 1 - Making Dough Take wheat flour. Add salt to taste and 2 Tsp Ghee. Mix well. Add water to prepare dough. Take little oil in hand and apply on dough. Cover it and rest it for half an hour
Step 2 - Rolling Gakhar Make balls from dough of tennis ball size. Roll it flat. Apply oil and sprinkle with dry flour. Cut from middle and fold it in a cone. Roll it again to make thick Gakhar. It can be folded in paratha style also.
Step 3 - Boiling Gakhar Take water in a stainless steel top. Add little oil and Haldi powder. Bring the water to boiling. Put rolled Gakhar into boiling water. Cover it and cook till it is done. Remove from water and keep it aside.
Step 4 - Baking Gaakhar Heat a non stick pan. Put Gakhar into it and cover with lid. Bake it on medium flame. Flip it over to bake on other side. When done remove and keep aside.
Step 5 - Applying Ghee on Gakhar Heat Ghee in a kadhai. Put Gakhar in hot ghee and remove it immediately.
