In a political development, Manohar Lal Khattar resigned as Haryana Chief Minister amidst growing cracks in the ruling BJP-JJP alliance. Reports indicate that a new Haryana CM is expected to be sworn in today, and Nayab Saini or Sanjay Bhatia are potential replacements. The rifts within the BJP-JJP coalition became evident ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, leading to Khattar's resignation. According to sources, Khattar has submitted his resignation letter and his cabinet to the Haryana Governor. Simultaneously, tensions heightened between the BJP and Dushyant Chautala-led JJP as they failed to reach a seat-sharing agreement for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In the 2019 elections, the BJP had secured all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, and the term of the Haryana Legislative Assembly is set to conclude on November 3.
