Does anyone have these on their C8? I saw them installed on one at a car show recently and was just wondering what the general consensus was.......Pros and cons.......Thanks all........

I like them only because I have a tight garage. They might also help giving mor access at other times. Besides these reasons, I’d have no interest.

You would be paying thousands to de-value your C8. And not anymore.

They come to *you* to install it right in your driveway. There's a video on YT showing the very involved process. I believe it costs around $4500 including labor. I understand the mod is reversible, so no resale value is lost. There you go - one of the very rare constructive replies you'll get here...

Not something I'd be remotely interested in.
Plus. the ones I've seen requires the driver to lower the door, and then after it's low enough, has to be slammed shut like a normal car door.

I really like them, but I think you are inviting problems into your life. I WISH THEY CAME STANDARD, garage width is always tight, that would be the only REAL reason to install them. Looks wise, the trend is over. But, it’s your car, you can do what you like.

By the way, my posts may be more constructive than yours as I know of a C7 and a C8 owner who have had it done and both seriously regretted it.

the pro is a real thing, the con is a personal opinion.
pro: fits places better ie garage / tight spots.
cons: ugly as sin and just makes you look like someone that wishes they had a lambo

I dislike Lambo doors on my friend's Lambos (all 3 of them).

Not a look I want on my car. I agree that the look is rather played out, but if you like them, it is your car and your money.

That's a 2022 Aventador. It's been in production for 11 years.

The only reason to get them is if you really like the look of them and think it adds to the look of the C8. Obviously your money your decision.

Its a great way to look really cheesy to other auto enthusiasts but its your car and I respect anyones right to do with it as they please

If it was free, I would not have them.

does it not cancel some portions of the warranty (would be another con if it do)

I will have them on my car because I like the look and no you do not open the door ALL the way before lifting them up, only partially. A partially-open standard door is not enough space to get in/out without scuffing the door/frame, but that same distance lifted upwards provides plenty of space - especially useful when there's a car parked next to you in the garage preventing the door from opening all the way. Corvettes are available in different trim levels, color options, add-on options, etc....because different people have different preferences. It's obvious that a lot of people really dislike/abhor vertically-opening doors on a Corvette, but it's also obvious that a lot of people like them. Other people don't decide for me what I do to my car - the mods I do are for me, not anybody else....and vertically-opening doors will be one of my mods regardless of what anybody else thinks of it.
