- In early October, Mr. Jones and his men decided to try to take back Animal Farm. So they, lead by Mr. Jones who carried a gun,began the walk up the cart-track to the farm.
- charge!
- However, one of Animal Farm's leaders, Snowball, had seen this coming and had prepared the animals for war. Their first defense was the pigeons, who flapped around the men, and the geese, who pecked their calves.
- After Jones and his men fought off the geese, Snowball launched his next wave. Snowball himself led Benjamin the donkey, Muriel the goat, and the sheep to head-but and kick the intruders.
- Second Class
- I was scared when the gun went off
- "I had no intention of doing that"
- But Jones and his men were too strong and Snowball squealed, and the animals retreated. Jones and his men followed, no tactics other than to crazily follow the animals. A mistake, for as soon as the men reached the yard and faced the ambush that awaited them. Snowball then called the command for charge.
- The battle ended with Jones and his men fleeing, but in the midst of battle Snowball was injured from a shot across the back and a sheep died. Boxer the horse took down the youngest of Jones men. And Molly went missing.
- After the battle the sheep is buried, Molly found hiding in her stall, and awards given out to those brave in battle. Boxer and Snowball got awards called "Animal Hero, First Class." The sheep also got an award, but was titled "Animal Hero, Second Class."
