👋 Hand Therapy Exercises ✅ Weight bearing exercises: ⭐️ Use a large amount of Resistive Exercise Putty with a weighted ball, and push into it slowly. You can lessen intensity by using a softer putty with less resistance. ⭐️ You can also use a dumbbell. Make it more challenging by twisting the dumbbell into the putty. ✅ Finger extension: ⭐️ Using putty, have the patient roll it out and make a ring around their fingers and tell them to spread out their fingers. Challenge them by increasing the resistance (harder putty). ⭐️ Flicking marbles, cotton balls or beans. ✅ Finger flexion: ⭐️ Crumbling paper towel ⭐️ Catching or tossing a small or medium size ball, weighted or downgrade to a non weighted ball.
