Pak Superfan 'Chacha Cricket' Picks Indian Superstar & Not Babar Azam As His Favourite Batter – WATCH

Pakistan's men’s cricket team captain, Babar Azam, is one of the greatest batters of all time. The 28-year-old right-handed batter is the only player who sits in the top 5 batter rankings in all three formats of the game at present. He is the world's No. 1 ODI batter, No. 3 T20I batter, and No. 4 Test batter. The right-handed batter enjoys a huge fan following all around the world, but when Pakistani men’s cricket team superfan ‘Chacha Cricket’ was asked to pick his favourite batter of the current era, he snubbed Babar and instead picked Pakistan’s arch-rival India’s star batter Virat Kohli as his favourite.

According to the 73-year-old fan, who travels to various venues around the globe to support the Pakistani team, in the current era, Virat is his favourite batter.

Speaking in the Nadir Ali podcast, Chacha Cricket said, "Iss time aap Virat Kohli ko keh skte hai. Usne apni team ke liye bahut run banaye hai (In the current era, it's Virat Kohli)."

He also mentioned MS Dhoni’s name and said that the former Indian captain is among his favourites because he won all three ICC trophies as captain.

"Fir ek toh Dhoni aajata hai, usne teeno format jeete huae hai, vo duniya ka vahid captain hai," Chacha Cricket added.

Among his favourite Pakistani players, the superfan, who by his own admission sold his house in Sialkot for 15 lakh Pakistani rupees in the 1990s to get funding for travelling overseas to support the Pakistani team during matches, picked the likes of Babar, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi as his favourites and prayed that these Pakistani batters reach a higher level than Virat in international cricket.

"Agar mai ek player ka naam lunga naa to usme aajayega Pakistan ka Babar aur Rizwan. Humari toh dua hai ki Virat Kohli se bhi badhkar humare players khele. Babar bhi khele aur dusre players bhi. Is waqt Pakistan ko ek edge hai ki Shaheen Shah Afridi jo hai naa vo is waqt bowling mein top ka hai," he said.
