Vacuole:

  1. The vacuole is an organelle that is present in many plant cells and some animal cells.
  2. In-plant cells, the vacuole may be very large and helps to maintain the structure and stability of cells.
  3. In animal cells, vacuoles are typically smaller and sequester waste products.

Structure:

  1. It has a structure made of the cell membrane that exists inside the cell, storing fluid and cell products separate from the intracellular fluid.
  2. The membrane that surrounds the vacuole is called a tonoplast.
  3. The component present inside the vacuole, is known as cell sap.
